Hakkai.

Ah.

Hakkai? Is a busybody. I mean, while I'm playing manga!Hakkai, I've always been amused by anime!Hakkai's busybody matchmaker side, and recognize the qualities in the manga they called on to, well, make it. Hakkai? Total busybody.

(I am also firmly convinced he used to go around matchmaking for Gojyo's old girlfriends supposedly for their benefit and after all they're such nice girls and it's not as if you intended to make honest women of them, Gojyo ... but mostly because he's an ass. A passive-aggressive ass, even. But other than Yumichika's tongue in Gojyo's mouth, THAT IS ENTIRELY IRRELEVENT HERE.)

Anyway. Yeah. So the long and the short of it Hakkai wants to do a little magic fingerwiggle and poof! Ikkaku and Yumichika are a couple! OF COURSE he knows quite well that it really doesn't work like that! BUT HE CAN DREAM CAN'T HE. Anyway, yes, Hakkai wants to matchmake them because he's an ass Gojyo's tongue, Yumichika's mouth they're obviously in love. Really, now.

As for Ikkaku himself? Hakkai is fond of him in that distant, vague way that comes from not interacting much yet. He appreciated the help on Bleach weekend and was more than willing to make food to bring that nice boy back to health. The way Ikkaku talks and his attitude is reminiscent of the characters he's more openly friendly with in the ikkou (Goku and Gojyo, in other words) so I figure Hakkai will affectionately mother hen Ikkaku for no readily apparent reasons at times. He knows Ikkaku's nervous about talking about stuff; he hasn't really quite acknowledged it's partly that Hakkai is a GIANT FREAK AND LOOKING AT HIM EXPECTANTLY and all. XD

Also I am sick and my brain is bleeeeeeh so I'm not sure how coherent this is, so. If you want me to go over anything else/go into more detail, just ask!

How mad/upset/mad/pissed off/annoyed/mad is Hakkai over the saliva-swapping?

Hi!

Not as much as he probably seems. The threatening them back into their own bodies? 10% irritation, 90% sheer Hakkai being helpful in his own Hakkai "I bet this would work! ♥" way. XD He understands that it's one of the cures for the bodyswitch, he understands that Gojyo's not the sort of person who he WANTS to, mmm, limit (which is to say, while he'd be fine if Gojyo were monogamous -- as he actually, ah, sort of is in the manga, which is to say, that he fesses up in Reload 1 that he hasn't slept with a woman in at least a year XD -- he wouldn't want to FORCE Gojyo to be), he also understands that they were drunk and carried away.

That said, even that 10% will come out as passive aggression, knowing Hakkai (because he has two modes of irritation walk passive aggression and KILL XD) and that's why a tiny amount of his motive in wanting to matchmake is that kissing situation. It's less actual "RAR" and more -- you know that scene in volume 1 where Gojyo makes a crack about making dancing girls dance in his bed and Hakkai quite literally blows a whistle on him and basically tells him he needs a time out? XD That level.

Also, I am "down with the sickness" which means I have a fever and, rereading, I'm not sure how coherent I was, so if you want me to clear anything up, feel free to ask! Because I looked and I realized my referents were all over the place and, also, um.

Yeahhh, I hate having fevers, they kill my coherence. BUT YES, ASK ANYTHING! :D
